About Roots101
Roots101 is an education-led consultancy and community platform dedicated to racial equity, cultural identity, and inclusive care for children, families, and professionals.
Founded by a social work professional and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) lead, Roots101 was created in response to a clear and urgent gap:
too many Black and mixed-heritage children are being raised in systems that lack the cultural understanding, practical knowledge, and confidence needed to support their identity, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.
We exist to change that.
At Roots101, we support foster carers, adoptive parents, social workers, educators, organisations, and local authorities to move beyond awareness into action. Our work combines lived experience, professional expertise, and evidence-based practice to deliver training, resources, and programmes that are honest, accessible, and impact-driven.
What We Do
